Welcome to Fredericton Region Solid Waste.

A Division of Regional Service Commission 11

As of Jan. 1, 2013, Fredericton Region Solid Waste became part of Regional Service Commission 11. The goal of the service commissions – of which there are 12 in the province – is to reduce the duplication of services and improve collaboration between communities. Anchored by the City of Fredericton, Commission 11 includes two towns, nine villages and 30 local service districts (LSD). Approximately 40 per cent of the commission’s population resides in LSDs with the remaining 60 in municipalities. Regional Service Commission 11 is governed by a board of community representatives which is comprised of the all municipal mayors as well as representatives from the unincorporated areas. Fredericton Region Solid Waste is a division of Regional Service Commission 11. While the structure around it has changed, Fredericton Region Solid Waste will continue to provide the same excellent level of service.
